"I wouldn't go in there. There's a big skunk in there."
"I know. It's a Toronto skunk. We have jurisdiction."
...the hell?

@djsundog Hey remember that time when we got like 4-5 years of relative peace, apparent prosperity, and optimism about the future...and then it turned out it was all a bunch of fucking lies?
Yeah, I'm fucking tired.
Wow. "Strange Brew" makes waaaay less sense than I remember. Granted, the last time I saw it I was drunk and passed out.
I have reached that point of being mentally and physically tired and having burned weeks worth of spoons taking care of other people...that watching "Strange Brew" feels like an act of self-care.
@evoterra oh, your name...hahahaha. Quality.
@evoterra I'm a bit slow on the uptake today. Didn't catch your banter at all, Biggles.
@amael @rtn @nixCraft which is funny because I grind by hand and use a La Pavoni lever action espresso machine but my distro (Regolith) is based on Ubuntu because I can't be wrestling with my computer when I have work to do.
@evoterra feels like a time to dust off this old chestnut...

@porcelainkitty Pureology and I swear by it
@dylan I've never even tried it as a joke. I don't know how to locate it and I don't care.
@tantramar Generalissimo Francisco Franco too.
@brhfl damn you weren't joking. It just needs a little construction worker sign and "This Site Under Construction"
@MamasPinkyToe I find that most of the words they use just mean "stoned". I can't tell the difference between any of the products I buy from them.
@feld He had some opinions about that decades ago.

@RussSharek @mwl Yeah, Wikipedia says he was Mormon, which is what I recalled. A lot of the original Battlestar Galactica was infused with various bits of Mormon theology.
@RussSharek @mwl Wasn't Glen Larson Mormon? I suppose the cocaine could have been for all the producers and exec around him.
@Prof_Trixie This is *exactly* what I do in my social circles (and I, too, am 45). It's particularly something I enjoy in my roller derby league, since I've been involved in the sport since 2007 and roller derby today is like baseball at the turn of the 20th century...just starting to stabilize after a wild era of evolution. The younger people crave the history I hold in my head and I have the means to help them with things. It's...nice.
@benjamincox @tillybridges Let's just say I'd use it with my mates in London but not my friends here in Atlanta.
@benjamincox @tillybridges That depends greatly on (1) where you're from (2) where your expected audience is from.
@Danetteb ok, cool. I'm not fond of religion either but some parts of a subthread kinda took a bit of a turn I hadn't expected.
Signs & Codes Founder. I talk a lot about #ttrpg and especially #WorldOfDarkness (#WoD), #ham #radio, #edm, #retrocomputers, and all sorts of #foss stuff, especially systems software.I'm #trans, #nonbinary, #transfeminine, #polyamorous, #kinky, and polymorphously #queer.
