@ianhillmedia @dansinker Sigh. In a federated universe, people share the load. I am using money from my center at CUNY to support the out-of-pocket costs of @adamdavidson starting journa.host because the fediverse is run by such volunteers. We in news media will benefit from this federated ecosystem--no longer subject to the whims of insane moguls--and should pay back. Everything isn't about us and our pathetic bottom lines.

I removed the cafe curtain from the kitchen window today. I'll be replacing it with another that provides a little more insulation, but man, we're into the cold season here and I feel my late wife's desire to get some covering in place early on. Stark.

With this move at Twitter, news organizations should by rights completely end the practice of using "tweets" as source material. It's been purposefully reconfigured as a mob-hysteria cesspool. There is no longer any excuse for elevating its content as some sort of open-air "public forum "
