    I've seen similar arguments from his type about the welfare state and the emergence of the modern pension system being linked back to Bismarck. While there is some truth to this, what would stop the ruling class from abolishing such a construct if it did not serve their needs? Does Bismarck hold some kind of spell over the entire political class of the West or does it actually just serve the interest of the State? Most people grow out of this mindset.

    Exactly, I have not seen anything credible to suggest that it's real. The honest answer is we do not know but the sources claiming this have lied about almost everything else, so I would disregard them.
