Deep down I've hoped that we can maintain brotherhood until shit hits the fan, and once the Christians in the movement demonstrate their willingness/ability to fight as hard as anyone else, all this talk about us being insufficiently committed to our race will end.

@Nikolai_Brummbar never heard anyone complain about the YEC people making us (White Nationalists) look bad before today.

The swastikas yes, the racism yes, jokes about tying women to radiators yes (they are hilarious)

YEC isn't even really associated with any sort of racialism and is much more of an Evangelical conservative bit.

I was here for the whole COVID arc and let me tell your if YEC makes us look dumb to people outside the movement....

Really seems like a veiled but very selective "optics" debate

Why do we have to remove YEC from the movement?

I'm trying to find the coherent fault line here that we've all been picking at these last fews days.

Incel versus Sex-Haver

Hobby enthusiast versus anti-hobby enthusiast

Those who believe in YEC versus those who don't.

These are all sitting over the eternal Christian/anti-Christian fault that zigzags all over these other positions.

Is it just that we've grown tired of putting aside daily grievances and petty rivalries? We have no enemies at hand to dig into and so we dig into each other? Our movement is too big perhaps and we need to purge the weirdos? COVID is over and Trump might return so we've got to clamp down on the schizos?

Are we hoping to make the ever fantasized turn from outsider movement to respectable movement?

Look, I've never had very strong feelings either way for 40k. It's not my cup of tea.

That said, if I decided, out of nostalgia to download and reply Republic Commando or Tie Fighter I should be able to enjoy those games even while acknowledging that Star Wars (just like 40k) is all pozzed now.

Now if I was dressing up as a stormtrooper and going to conventions, well....I'd deserve all the heckling I'd get

And really, despite the issues I personally have with McNabb (his aforementioned hostility to Christianity) and Mongoose (see incel hellthread from the other day) I would rather have them beside me, disagreements/faults and all.
