Hell, even in my own life. It's a lot.

We all get that.

And if we share facetious contemplations, or lame humor in a feable attempt to break the constant stress and challenges of survival..
It doesn't mean that we don't care or that we're not trying or doing anything. We don't see everything.

If we're not doing well, we can possibly hide it somewhat from our loved ones for a few days, maybe less when it stretches to several, but beyond that..?

We try to protect them, to give them reprieve from anxiety, fear and disruption. We don't want to burden them.
I suspect they know and hide that for our sake as well.

My wife is less than 2 weeks away from going on her bucket list vacation. This means everything to me.
I've been in emergency twice this past week.

Highly sensitive, empathetic people tend to carry a heavier emotional load.

This over taxes the sympathetic nervous system, which if not balanced / recharged, causes increased wear on the body, even serious health consequences.

Empathy and kindness are still good, just look after yourself as well.

I was standing on our patio and noticed that we still have the wind chimes that we put up 20 years ago.
We've never heard them, ever.
