Are the folks in charge of the weather control lasers planning more aurora tonight?

Remember when we only had teenage angst?
Ah, those were the days.

Bladder, prostrate, kidney, blood, bone, lymphatic, heart, neuralgia and .. well, let's just say that the list of health challenges makes answering the "How are you doing?" question a bit complicated these days.

I get why it's easier to say "Fine, thanks, how are you?" 🙂

@sand Good idea. I have a removable tray under the burners. I add a bit of kitty litter to it to absorb the drippings. As long as I clean and replace it regularly, that part of cleaning isn't bad.

It's my annual clean the BBQ day, but it's only 1°C outside.
I have no problem using the BBQ in cold weather, even mid-winter, but cleaning? 😕

I had a friend in highschool who needed support and a place to live if he was to complete highschool. I asked my parents if we might be able to offer that support and it happened without hesitation.
We were definitely not wealthy.

Looking back on this years later, I realized how much that cost, but more importantly how much it taught both my friend and I about looking out for others and being kind.

It has shaped and guided much of my life.

@RickiTarr If only funds spent on deterring the homeless and treating them as criminals were spent on fighting the causes of homelessness instead.

Although it can often feel like talking to ourselves, posting on social media can be like thinking out loud, an opportunity to sort out thoughts, feelings;
To vent about things we have little control over;
And by expressing them here, they lose power over us and we better understand ourselves.

Of the approximately 10,000 people who I once followed on Twitter, I've only found a few of them here.

While I am glad to reconnect with a few friends, I do miss many others.

Thankfully I also continue to find many new people here with a wide range of interests, insights, contemplations and wit. Nice. 😊

Moments of lower pain and sufficient energy with mental capacity to get out there have been rare lately.

While I wasn't sure if I had enough or should push it a bit today, I'm glad that I did.
Did I use every bit of power assist on my ebike? Yes, that's why I have it. For days like today.

The reward was fresh air, perfect weather and quiet beautiful landscapes to enjoy.
Tomorrow I may not be so lucky, but that's another day. Today, I am blessed.
