@lanodan Dude was almost going to be in charge of the Department of Justice for the upcoming second term Trump administration.

He resigned from the House to go for the nomination and then resigned while being the nominee because he didn't want to be a distraction or something like that. It was starting to become clear that he wouldn't be confirmed in the Senate.

So yeah. His political career is over.
