Don't what it is about it. But the phrase "Your body, my choice" sounds like something a rapist would say. -

I'm severely disappoimted that neither of the Fast Money players said penis when Steve Harvey asked, "Name something that starts with P-E-N". We could've had another great moment of Steve Harvey collapsing on stage. -

One of the best highlights of October 2024 is The Vatican officially getting an anime girl mascot. -

It's amazing to me that MoistCr1TiKaL managed to still record videos from his room and literally come out unscathed from Hurricane Milton. He's like the ultra-Waffle House of YouTubers at this point. -

@lashman I think PDS servers should be allowed to configure this kind of stuff (as well as things like character limits) for themselves tbh. It would for certain promote healthier competition in the AT protocol realms. -

@tusooa Making the character limit configurable is the biggest advantage of Pleroma. Also, if Bluesky did that for PDS servers, they could honestly whoop Mastodon's ass given their insane levels of mainstream popularity rn. -

I find it hilarious how the only real reason Apple standardizes their devices or does cross-platform compatibility is not because they want to, but because regulations require them to. -

@lanodan IDK. When a message is received from potential spam, it lets me know. I check it and usually it'll say at the end of the text message something like "Reply STOP to end". I report it as spam and block them partially because I'm cranky and tired of election BS. -

Ayya, political strategists: Did you know Google detects your text messages as spam? May want to reconsider part of your outreach strategies. -

IDK about y'all, but trusting a centralized, private payment processing company to verify someone's age is pretty suspicious and not wise. -

IDK if this classifies as a hot take or not, but The VeggieTales Show would've more likely succeeded if it wasn't exclusive to Yippee.
In general, the biggest flaw in the multiple streaming services with exclusive content is that it becomes more a burden to the consumers and therefore has caused them to become more expensive than cable TV. Not only that, but on some streaming services like Yippee, there isn't enough good content besides VeggieTales to justify subscribing to it.
And it's also no wonder some advocate for and engage in piracy these days. -

So, it seems like the Rebased fork of Pleroma hasn't been updated in 5 months and a lot more activity has gone into Soapbox's Ditto server. So, congrats to the time-traveling wizards who predicted that Soapbox was planning to simply move to Nostr. -

I use an offline password manager (KeePassXC) to store passwords. However, I'm curious about what is the best way to store 2FA recovery codes? I feel like writing or printing things on a piece of paper or Excel spreadsheet isn't gonna be secure at all. But also, I'm starting to think storing a txt file of the recovery codes in a KeePassXC attribute just defeats the purpose of 2FA. Because all you need to know then is their master password and voila. You can still get in to their account. -
