I'm in a good headspace about leaving so it's kind of amusing that everyone who was not on disq are the ones upset about losing it lol
It was losing money, hard to maintain, didn't give me a space I enjoyed anymore. It was time. It'll be okay -

The issue that brought Disq down was that something is spamming it and filling up the storage, 350GB of text only posts filled up the database in a manner of a couple weeks since I last vacuumed it. To avoid that issue I'd have to be active enough on fedi to run database maintenance every week, and that's at odds with how I've been lowering my fedi usage and focusing on my work and irl social life.
My plan will most likely be that when I have the energy to deal with fixing Disq, to bring it back up and fix it for a couple weeks so folks can migrate their accounts off, and then pull the plug
I probably won't have the energy to do that for a few days.
I wanna be done with adminning, please understand and give me that space. -
