@inthehands you do get they don't need "pretext"? They've already gained total control

@skinnylatte my dad was actually in Malaysia fighting them as party of the Royal Navy taskforce assigned to the "hearts and minds" missions there.

Not that there's any admission of this stuff yet

@chozari yep, it's part of American hegemony. I've seen it play out in person in Cambodia, even in The Maldives. My dad has worked across the world, either dealing with the fallout, or directly with, American hegemonic acts. From toppling governments through to pressuring the global south to reflect American laws, it's all about controlling the world.

Maduro's abduction is just the latest in well over a century of meddling in others' affairs

@chozari I just see posts constantly acting like all this stuff is new information, like the world has been blinded by the light that is the US. No, it's Americans that have been blinded by their own ignorance.

It's this assumption that if you're not American, you don't matter, or, worse, if you're not American, you're stupid.

Neither are true, and I feel people from the US need to realise the world is about fed up with those attitudes. I've experienced them everywhere, even from "well travelled" Americans

I'm kind of at the point where I no longer want to offer friendly reminders to Americans that they aren't the only people in the world, and to get more aggressive with this assertion:

If you're going to post things TO Americans, make that clear, because for the rest of us, when you try to tell us history of American aggression across the world, it's straight up patronising wank from fascist arseholes.

Really, right now is time to sit the fuck down, because your country is the aggressor... it has always been the aggressor, and you've only just figured that out. Good for you

@skinnylatte What I'd like is a set of phrases for when I go to the doctor, whatever, to make it clear I don't want any of their LLM shit, without rubbing them the wrong way.

That Netanyahu and Frydenberg are singing from the same hymn sheet says all we need to know.

The Zionists have taken over the grief, and are doing everything they can to achieve Daesh's goal of splitting Australia.

Why do you think they targeted Jewish Australians? It's the easiest way to kill "social cohesion" in Australia, and every conservative is obliging them

@aral there's a reason I ran like the wind from open source communities.

There's dudes like this everywhere in them. As far as I'm concerned, if you're not developing for human rights, you're developing for fascism

What the dudes trying desperately to "fix" the "masculinity crisis" don't get is that those of us that are fine with our masculinity are so sick to death of these idiots trying to "fix masculinity". You're the fucking ones that broke it!

@skinnylatte I haven't played, but it seems rather mixed. From PotatoMcWhiskey's playing, it seems it's getting better, but stuff is still a little broken.

CIV VI was like this, too, and only got good after a few years of fixes

Get a NY if you can afford it, but the base Fahgettaboudit is great. The lockpickinglawyer loves them for the disc detainer core and thick boron, dual locking, shackle

@skinnylatte it's funny seeing the difference between American coffee culture, and Australian.

No Aussie would touch any of that, as it's open to the air, not temperature controlled, etc. This doesn't make much difference with drip coffee, but for espresso, which most Aussies drink, you probably won't get crema when extracting.

Not a knock on the coffee shown, just how the style of coffee you drink dictates how it's stored/sold. We do have bulk coffee places, but they use airtight coffee fridges to preserve the oils that make crema

Utter Nazi shit from Israel, but no one will call it out.

'Thunberg was “wrapped in the Israeli flag and paraded like a trophy” – a scene described with disbelief and anger by those who witnessed it.'

Firstly, that's a war crime. As a soldier, parading captives at all is a war crime, but this goes further. This is the same nationalism, from the same place, as the Nazis: "blood and soil".

Israel needs to be called out for this shit, and directly be accused of being Nazis, because this pussyfooting around is enabling more crimes against humanity, more war crimes, and more genocide:

Israel accused of detaining Greta Thunberg in infested cell and making her hold flags

What a surprise, the first thing Netanyahu does is threaten Australia now we recognise Palestine.

Time to eject every Israeli citizen, and revoke all Israeli dual-nationals' Australian citizenship.

With the amount of Israeli war criminals and Mossad agents walking our streets, it's time to get rid of this Nazi scum from our country

@skinnylatte one of the smartest ways of doing car ownership.

Problem is, you need excellent public transport for it to be viable
