   I purchased a new mouse yesterday afternoon from Best Buy. It arrived today.

   My old mouse was about five years old and suddenly started malfunctioning around the same time as my motherboard. I opened up a few days ago and saw that a battery exploded inside.

   I've not been able to highlight text correctly for nearly two months now. Sometimes clicking once would register twice. The new mouse is already making a HUGE difference.

   @futurebird I think the conclusion I've reached that a kilobyte would be 341 1/3 trilobites has disturbed me more than anything else today.

   My internal rounded number fairy is being tortured by my internal chaos demon.

   My world fell apart at the weekend.

   My brother and nephew died

   There was a house fire. My brother went back in for his 4 year old son and died in the early hours of Sunday morning due to his injuries.

   His son died today.

   My brother leaves behind his wife and 3 teenage children.

   I am broken.
   I want to wake up from this nightmare.
   It's just awful. So, so awful. The pain is overwhelming.

   I just want my little brother and his beautiful boy back.

   I doubt rms would describe it as foresight. Rather, he saw what was happening at the time and already recognized it as evil, and since then those same injustices have compounded to become what they are today.

   My wish is that the injustices may eventually reach a critical mass where the general public can no longer tolerate them, but we obviously can't count on that in our advocacy.

   I didn't even intend to talk about #SpaceHost at length today.

   My whole plan was to just share a screenshot, and reveal more this week.

   But with mastodon.social and mastodon.online getting DDoS'd, I kind of have to talk about the importance of people starting their instances ?♂️
