Hey @dansup looking at the node explorer of @fedidb for Pixelfed.social:
Is there any reason why the local comments are showing 0?
For Mastodon.social there are no local comments listed there.

I tried it with https://invite.jointhefediverse.net/?server=punk.photos and it was not showing any text for my instance.
Which api call is this using?
Thx for the information, I think I should provide this information...
RE: https://toot.fedilab.app/@apps/117095740060037054
Tom, the creator of @apps and @HolosSocial has started a new project:
It's called Fedihood
https://FediHood.social
It connects people by location, and topic, so you can find people near you by topic.
You can find me there too: @joergi@fedihood.social
@dansup
Yeah in this view I would love to see who you delete.
Like the name or the handle.
Just to be sure, you are not deleting the reporting one. It's obvious, but it would be good to have that written down.
@unknownpseudoartist@musician.social @unknownpseudoartist@punk.photos
@dansup
Thx.
Are you able to roll out small bugfixes, without rolling out the big big upgrade?
New features will probably introduce new bugs (as a developer I can say: it's always that way).
So fixing first the issues would be really appreciated (by me, and I guess by all the other pixelfeds users)
But at least, kill all the spammers on your instance is maybe a quick solution..
@unknownpseudoartist@musician.social @unknownpseudoartist@punk.photos
@dansup is there a way for me as Pixelfed admin to block a spam account completely on my instance?
Now some Pixelfed.social fake support accounts are spamming
In the admin section I have only seen this, which makes no sense.
This is the original post where it's reported https://punk.photos/p/unknownpseudoartist/992515291836854656
Thx a lot.

I like the game, but sometimes i click "on accident". Waiting is not my superpower
Hello @dansup a user on pixelfed.social told me, that he can't find any user which is at the punkstodon.de server.
I tried it with @punxsocial and @BackToFuture and @rwaschbaer but i was not able to find any of these with my Pixelfed.social account.
Can you please check if you did a server ban? And if yes, why?
Thx for your help.

As we are doing at the moment a campaign to promote the Fediverse, it would be bad if the 2nd biggest server blocks this instance completely.
@maikek
Even I'm a Pixelfed admin/ instance owner, i would also recommend to have a look for @vernissage
https://joinvernissage.org/
But it also doesn't matter, if you are on Mastodon, Pixelfed or Vernissage: you will see all the picture posts on all plattforms.
If you are more into reading what others wrote, then go to Mastodon.
@_elena @Smidgybit
Bon jour. @Chocobozzz / @peertube
Is there any way from your side to fix that issue? It would be really cool, if the federation works, but i'm not (yet) enough into the protocol to understand what @dansup wrote above.
For me as a Peertube user and Pixelfed instance owner it would be good, if the Fediverse promise of interoperability would work..
@dansup is in the next Pixelfed release a bugfix about the peertube issue?
It makes no sense, that #Peertube videos are not federated, but #Loops video are, they could even be played in #Pixelfed directly...
Even if one is your project, they should be both treated equal.
And yes, federating the complete video is too much, but the preview image and the link would be a minimum (for me)

I really hope Dan will implement the relay function in Pixelfed too.
https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/issues/4472
Should the manual subscription for boosting work in theory with a pixelfed Account?
At least for me it isn't. It should automatically accept it and follow, correct?
Thx for the information.
I really don't understand, why so many have a problem with it.
I like the service, (if I wouldn't, I would remove it from my instance / block it on my account)
@cazabon
On one instance i'm on, it's connected to the relay of tag push. So there it happens too.
So your admin WANTS to have it that way.
So you can, as a member of the instance, opt-out.
i wouldn't call it abuse, as it does what the admin of your instance wants.
And you can even opt-in, if your instance is not using the relay.

@cazabon
I think it's a beautiful service. But I do understand that it annoys you. i had the same feeding in the beginning.
Just opt-out if you don't like it.
Haa your admin announced it?
2/2
@reiddragon
No it is not.
See here
https://chaos.social/@joergi/116829365611675707
Especially on small, unknown instances it makes a difference.
@cazabon
@reiddragon
So how else you want to push all the unknown services to the other instances? The tagpush.app and tags.pub help there.
To be honest: i wasn't aware that tags.pub uses also relays for subscription, see https://socialwebfoundation.org/2026/06/28/unsubscribing-tags-pub-from-open-registration-relays/ . I'm not sure when this was added , but now it's removed.
@evan - was this newly introduced (and now removed) or how did all the conversation started now and not like month ago? Thx for your feedback
@benpate
Just marking his main account, @apps , but he announced he is doing vacation.
https://toot.fedilab.app/@apps/116784576952529908
So maybe ping in some weeks again?
@dansup as you are writing app - and every complaint and bug report has been heard and resolve.
I guess it will also be fixed then on every 3rd party app and the browser?
because I imagine most of the bugs in the server, not the app tbh?
Thank you for your work.
Looking forward for this
