@dansup - as a #pixelfedAdmin I would love to be able to have an automatic rule:
- if you don't use alt tags, your post will not be published/rejected
- if you don't use alt tags, your post will be unlisted or followers only automatically

Something like that. Should not be standard, but something each admin can define.

Is this to harsh? What do you think?

I really hope that comes not only to loops, but also to #pixelfed, #mastodon and the #fedibridge.

If you need inspiration, @HolosSocial has already implemented this, it works perfectly.

but imagine all the bridged users from bsky have a nice handle @snarfed.org

That would be a real cool feature.

A downside on this:
It will gives you less promotion for your own instance, because it's harder for people to see on which instance their beloved band / author is on.

One of the killer features from @HolosSocial is for me, that you can use your own domain.

This means, as a band, author etc you can promote everywhere your handle with @name@my_own_domain.tld

This is so perfect. This means your handle will still be correct if the instance you chose in the beginning is not alive anymore.

I would love to see this feature in #Mastodon, #Pixelfed #loops #peertube and the #bridge

I have a Pixelfed question, hopefully you can help:

I get those errors when uploading 8 or 9 pics, no collection selected, I tried it with the browser and with 3rd party app. Always the same error. As you can see, i have enough space left.

And what is exactly the photo album limit? I can't make it higher than 20.

This is all on my own Pixelfed instance...

Ok, The error was sitting in front of the mobile - so it was ME, changing the wrong settings. 🤣
Now it's working.

It's a bug reported in the app (by me) but as this is effecting not only the app,I would say it's a server bug introduced with v0.12.7

New improvements are great but bugfixes are even greater.

The for you algorithm on loops was showing me some good videos, i would have normally missed.

With punx.social (punk.photos (Pixelfed), punkstodon.de (Mastodon) punktube.net (Peertube) we tried to provide some bots to get more relevant stuff in. That helps a little bit. I think it also depends what instance you chose. If a big k-pop label / magazine would make an own instance, it would be 1/2
