You're right, a more realistic approach is abolishing the monarchy and redistributing their property among british subjects, that's the compromise

Labour is still on their Blairism trip, which is just Thatcherism with a happy face, as Obama/Biden is Clinton 2.0 which is Reaganism with a happy face. It's all the same bulshit of convincing working people to support policies that only benefit the rich at their expense. The only thing about the "happy face" is the "left" party here just pretends to be a little less racist than the other guy.

the UK just needs to be broken up, make Wales and Scotland independent, abolish the monarchy and use their wealth to pay reparations to all countries they've enslaved. There's really no saving it and the English are gonna have to face the fact their entire system is broken, they're ruled by nonces. diaspora is still around too, it has more of a facebook vibe to it in terms of both the interface and culture, it's quite comfy, i resent having to sign into a completely different account to even interact with diaspora friends

that all these foss people are falling over themselves to accommodate a corporationj like bluesky but after all these years never even bothered with diaspora is infuriating
