graphene is so smooth and nice, only issue is just, the absolut stat of the google pixel, which is is shit, no headphone jack or sd slot, the screens are terrible etc.

@purusa @vvando in my world I value using secure free software more than other features. My phone is a MFA box and "I'm not at a computer" surrogate.

true, and to be clear this isn't a criticism of GrapheneOS but of phone manufacturers, the Graphene fedi account was just talking about how they've been trying to find a dedicated hardware supplier for years but none of these companies actually want to make open source hardware
personally i am willing to make trade-offs, The phone i just got my girlfriend is a motorola because it's 1. supported by CalyxOS and 2. has a headphone jack and sd slot -- these aren't fancy features these are *basic* things that have been around since beginning of smartphones, planned obsolescence is a b

@purusa @vvando all good, I don't judge, everyone picks their own priorities. Me, my phone is a tertiary device. If I pick up my phone I'm both "not at a computer" and also "not able to grab a computer" so things like headphones are hand-wavey.
