Awesome! I'll test it when it goes out to main. Will you be able to decouple the rss entry number from max_timeline_entries? That is not critical but it would be helpful for pulling bigger feeds over the number of web interface entries. -

Eggs rose from about $1.50 per dozen to $6+ per dozen in some places in USA. It is insane. -

Pure rubbing alcohol.
Windex will also do.
Use a lens rag. It makes no scratches.
If that all fails, use a drill and hammer. -

Here in America the government routinely orders the mass slaughter of chickens to 'prevent spread of bird flu.' I think the reality is that they are doing it to keep the price of meat and eggs elevated so that the poor can't save any money and so that select producers can pad profits from the elevated prices.
The government 'detects' flu virus in birds then the birds are exterminated. Then the price of eggs doubles or triples. How convenient. -

Get their dogs lollipops, strap muzzles and masks to their snoots and tape on big doggy diapers too. Then everyone can feel safe and healthy!
And that would make about as much sense as what's been going on.
"We're all in this together!" Even Fido.
Now, if the Health Department had said that dogs must wear masks, a million would have screamed cruelty to animals. -

It is mostly minor children who play video games. Perhaps they wish to acculturate the audience to such 'norms'? -

@grunfink@comam.es
I set the rss limit to 100 and recompiled with post limit set at 50. Sure enough, the rss is served up to the post limit number.
Then I set both to 100 and it pulled 79 entries. I don't know why it didn't pull 100. There might have been a caching issue in my reader or in the proxy. Rather than troubleshoot that I nuked the reader cache for a new compilation and rss test.
Then I recompiled with the rss limit set to 300 and I set the timeline page limit to 300, and it pulled the full history of 193 local posts into the rss feed. -

I suppose this would make a useful feature request. The obvious trick is likely patching to include a parameter check from server.json and replacing the hard-coded with a variable containing that. I think 100 is a good upper bound for parameter checking, although some few might want it to be higher if they are following the most loquacious of fedi tooters.
I'm going to look at the source now. Thanks for the heads up. -

Does anyone know if there is a way to increase the number of recent entries in the public RSS feeds for a snac2 profile?
I would like to increase it to 100 instead of the default. -

My mom took a picture of me around the same age as this tyke. In the picture I am taking a drag off a freshly lit Marlboro cigarette, holding the lighter in my other hand. They had to hide the cigarettes up high in the freezer after they learned I could do that. That is GenX with boomer parents in a nutshell. -

The last time the Democrats seceded from the Union was in 1861, with the civil war ensuing at Fort Sumter. The Southern Democrats formed the Confederate States of America partly to preserve the institution of slavery.
Republican President Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery and forced the Union back together through a bloody war against the Democrat-run South.
When I see talk of succession, I am reminded of this history, and how it shows the dangerous conflict generated by partisan politics, especially when one party is afraid of losing power and control over its chattel slaves or entitlement supporters. -

Or possibly ... only operators with huge computational infrastructure will be able to service the demand, cutting out all the smaller fish?
There is likely some kind of angle or grift or rent-seeking when corpos suggest or do crazy stuff. -

6-day TLS expiration? Am I assuming rightly? If so, that's nuts. It is already occasionally problematic renewing in time with the longer period.
Is someone trying to sow up the market so they can put a meter on it? -

I am looking for profiles to follow. Currently I am interested in following users who have an interest in or work in:
#Cryptography #Cryptology #Ciphers #Codes #Puzzles #TrapDoorMaths #Algorithms #MixNets #Encryption #HandCiphers #FieldCiphers
... and arcane math problems or trying to find a way to use them for securing information or messages. Any recommendations will be appreciated.
I'm looking for interesting new ideas and models from people who like to tinker rather than more rehashed, industry standard cryptography.
