Watching these 3 girls in the populated hotel lobby who have spent the last like 10 minutes recording themselves on a phone prop'd up on a countertop of them doing some TikTok dance or whatever over and over trying to perfect it or something and wondering what exists inside the female brain that makes them need attention so much.

Real-talk though I wish I had the confidence to act like a fucking retard in the middle of public without caring what society thought about my antics like these girls are able to do.

They just keep doing this over and over. I don't know if it's the same TiKTok thing or if they're doing multiple ones. But it's kinda obnoxious.

@prettygood The best part of this meme is how it's actually true. The "racist community" is overwhelmingly positive and tolerant as long as you're also being a prejudiced asshole. @Hoss Japan and South Korea have a ton of weird religious sects and cults that are deeply involved in their political and industrial apparatuses. And, both countries, despite being small, also enjoy a powerful soft culture that extends into the popular consciousness of foreign nations abroad. I wrote before about how China really wants to have this sort of powerful soft cultural spread, but that it never works out for them because it's always too sterilized or too "on the nose"---pushed too hard; They're trying to hard and forced memes don't land. The only Chinese "cultural" entity that I can think of people would recognize within the West would be that Shen Yun performing arts that gets advertised everywhere......which is a operated by a Chinese pseudo-religous cult which was expelled from Mainland Chinacountry in the 1990s/early 2000s.

Rendered it impossible, apparently, until someone figures out a workaround, to stream YouTube videos to VLC. So, forced to use the browser and not have the proper hardware acceleration therein (on Linux) and cook the CPU. The bastards.

@sally I prefer VLC to mpv. mpv doesn't work either, for what it's worth.

@icedquinn @kaia The best keyboard I've ever owned or used, of multiple mechanical keyboards I've owned or used, has been the Launch Heavy by System76. Although I'm sure the normal (smaller) Launch is just as good, too.
