TUX
Tux is the penguin that Linux uses as a logo. In 1993, Linus Torvald went to #Australia and got bitten by a penguin in a #Canberra zoo. In 1996, Alan Cox made a cartoon design of a penguin that Torvalds found online.
The name #TUX has been coined by James Hughes, and it is the contraction of "Torvald's UniX"... Weird, as you know, #Linux Is Not UniX :D

I can't say for sure in the US, but from my experience in Australia and Europe with Ford, Mercedes/Smart, VW, and Chrisler, they usually welcome the feedback and are involved in the resolution. There's a paper trail ($0 invoices, reports and emails) and sometimes low-priority recalls as well (even for cars far out of warranty)

@tk @astrid @izaya Hello! I own an SUV and a Ute (pickup truck). The SUV is a 7 seater, which is important to bring my family around. The ute is used mainly to bring construction, dirt and wood at my home.
We live in rural NSW, and other cars can't go through the dirt roads and rivers we sometimes have to cross. The nearest hospital is impossible to access if its heavily raining and all you have is a car (or a city SUV).

@tk @astrid @izaya In Australia, you see a lot of SUV and utes on the road. If you want to go camping (one of the favorite activities during the holidays) or visit family in rural areas, there is not much options. Pulling a caravan with a small car above the blue mountains is simply impossible...
