I don't disagree that this is bad, but I question whether or not this is unique to Tesla. Tesla doesn't have the dealership model. How do dealerships deal with complaints like this? Are they ever swept under the rug to appease Big Auto? Don't they get bonuses and special treatment and stuff for their performance?
@feld I can't say for sure in the US, but from my experience in Australia and Europe with Ford, Mercedes/Smart, VW, and Chrisler, they usually welcome the feedback and are involved in the resolution. There's a paper trail ($0 invoices, reports and emails) and sometimes low-priority recalls as well (even for cars far out of warranty)
