The fediverse is all things to all folks. While Mastodon seems to embrace unchanging consistency, @pixelfed & @gotosocial are on the front lines of responsive innovation.

Every time I wish a platform could do a thing I find that it’s either already supported on one of these two platforms, or one of their fantastic devs is open to feedback and efficiently cranking it out.

As a former member of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Association (WLEA) I support this ruling.

It was quite the mess when some members of our union were precluded from bargaining by Act 10, while others were still entitled to bargaining rights.

@BeAware @alex @aeharding to be fair, being de-federated is different than not being federated in the first place. One is intentional while the other is an unfortunate but natural function of fediverse.

I’m sure it’s just a matter of federation fun, but I can’t seem to find or follow @alex@harding.dev from my new instance. What is the magic recipe to connect with others with limited federation reach.
