Many of the election post-mortems have been downright absurd and a blatant attempt to continue to distract from the base's real issues. They refuse to get it. They lost miserably TO TRUMP and they still refuse to get it.

Everyone seems to have their own pet theory as to why #Mastodon isn't growing, so here's mine just for kicks:

People will put up with anything to avoid learning. The experience is actually psychologically painful to most people, so enshittification is tolerable as long as the platform does all the work.

Combine that with their spoon-fed consumer mentality, and of course most people's brains shut down the minute you start explaining decentralization.
