Recently I heard from someone here the idea that the current "AI" LLM hype may halachically amount to idolatry.

But, is there already rabbinical psak/advice or discussion of this out there?

Asking for a friend (myself) who might be forced into such stuff by their employer.

@WarnerCrocker In some respects they did possibly. If they're in for the sexism and racism that's possibly part of their interests. And they'll get that.

Thinking of back then in this country here... Deportations were expensive too. People didn't care. At least those pesky Jews etc. were away. And one could buy their possessions for cheap. 🙃

@cstross Honorable mention for disabled people. Even the officially not so fascist governments regularly mess with us. All the more so the fascists.
