After 40 years and countless games, my husband and I accomplished what we believe to be the perfect game of Scrabble. We each scored over 200 points, and we used all the tiles.

The game started with me way out ahead. Then he caught up and took the lead. Then it went back and forth until I played the last two tiles, and the game ended.

It was a tie.
We each scored 230 points.
No one lost.
We both won.

However, as a woman trapped in the state of #Texas against my will I, for one, want a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT that guarantees equal protection under the law for all WOMEN.

I want a FEDERAL law protecting WOMEN's access to healthcare. And I'm NOT AFRAID to call it what it is: ABORTION.

My purpose in life is NOT that of an incubator for posterity!

My husband did not take the news very well at first. He became very dark and broody. But when he read the president's letter, his eyes welled up and he stood up straight and he nodded his head.

We agreed it was for the best.
