@alexandrageese Yesterday, an update in the agenda of the Commission meeting of 27th of May, has been published. Compared to one dated 22 April, "Open Source strategy" is GONE!
Or maybe it has been renamed "Communication on European Tech Sovereignty". Is @HennaVirkkunen gonna talk about Open Source or not? Let's check the minutes once they are published. We would love to get more context and details about this change in the agenda, and if it reflects a policy shift, away from Open Source or not.

It is most probably the only solution for the standard that will bring interop.
What we have at nextgraph+activitypods is an implementation of a DID that works for AP (it will be ready very soon).
I need to read the FEP and then let's discuss it. I've curious to hear your ake on all previous attempts on the subject. Of course DIDs should not be mandatory. About `did:key` we have to see if it is really needed, I am all ears on that

Silverpill knows me and my work a bit, and I would like to discuss it with all of you. we have solutions of DID in ActivityPub, and also for an easy way to build social apps on top of it, similar to what Lexicon and PDS does, in the ATproto world. Would love to starting working on a FEP about that

Why is there a fee to attend this online meetup? The fee is not cheap. 40 euros. And you even propose for some to pay up to 250 euros.

Why ?

Why is the board ok with that.

We shouldn't have to pay to participate in a community based event dedicated to a decentralized and non-profit network of networks...

You have absolutely no cost to cover.

And you shouldn't be paid neither to organize.

as much as i like smallweb and web 0, you should be reminded that web 3.0 is a term coined by Tim Berners-Lee and it refers to the Semantic Web. maybe you meant web3 which is the one of the cryptobros, or web 4.0 with augmented reality, digital twins and AI.
