Our french-speaking followers may be interested in the webinar we'll give on June 12 about the "Universal Social Network" - a social network that is not bound to a specific app, but that any app can plug into. Join us to know more about this solution and the cooperative we are creating to carry it!
Applications with ActivityPods - "How are my health records protected from the photo sharing app?"
This Thursday at 15:00 CET @srosset will present the first part of our work on implementing the Solid Application Interoperability Spec (SAI). SAI specifies how and which data is shared with application and other users.
The presentation will cover the basics and introduce shape trees, which define how the data you share looks like.
If you were not present at last week's Solid Symposium, we just posted a re-recording of our talk titled "Key learnings from building social apps with ActivityPods". It includes a lot of thoughts about Solid and how we solved some problems we encountered. https://activitypods.org/key-learnings-from-building-social-apps
Hi Fediverse, a short #introduction ! ActivityPods is a general-purpose ActivityPub server that uses #SolidProject pods to store user data in a standardized, semantic, interoperable data format, #RDF.
This way, we bridge the gap between an interoperable web, where users are in control of their data, and the social web. Developers can focus on creating client applications without having to worry about the backend for most parts.
Creating decentralized social apps has never been easier!ActivityPods brings together two game-changing technologies, ActivityPub and Solid Pods, and empowers developers to create truly decentralized applications.Toots mostly by @srosset and @laurin.This project is funded through the NGI0 Entrust Fund, a fund established by NLnet with financial support from the European Commission's Next Generation Internet program.
