@lord Rambo 3 is a Rambo film no matter how much you argue it’s a My Little Pony sequel. We don’t need to embrace their silly branding. We don’t need version numbers to describe sustainable, long lived imitatives. We’re not in the VC hype cycle.
@aral would you calm down a little? as much as i like smallweb and web 0, you should be reminded that web 3.0 is a term coined by Tim Berners-Lee and it refers to the Semantic Web. maybe you meant web3 which is the one of the cryptobros, or web 4.0 with augmented reality, digital twins and AI. I reclaim web 3.0 as a good and useful web
@quinn@CompositeFellow And nothing about a merkle tree requires universal proofs either. Anything useful you can do with blockchain you can do with a direct acyclic graph without all the “zero trust” bullshit (oh, yeah, mate, zero trust, just don’t 51% me m’kay?)

@aral apologies you are right. It was not my intention to state they were the only ones working on it. I misspoke. I appreciate your work and I'm excited to read about it.
I simply intended to point out it doesn't have to be and we don't have to secede the definition Of Web3 to cryptocurrency communities simply because they spent money on marketing and research. We can also not use Web3 as a term at all.
