At an art exhibition in Stuttgart, Germany, I met the risk manager of Daimler Chrysler. He introduced himself and naturally we came to talk about automation and outsourcing.

I ventured that any company needs to balance the needs of its workers, its owners and management as well as the costumers.

He flat out said "no!" There is only one actor towards all focus is directed to: the investors, short term profit for shareholders.

    The ills of the world.

Uhum! And this is news? The mere fact that Alexa is connected with the Internet and answers questions is telling you that you invited a listening device into your home.

FYI: Anybody wearing a smart watch put him-/herself on a technocrat's leash.

Every mobile phone is an f-ing listening device, spies of the 60s could only dream of, and so far I haven't seen any smartphone that isn't dominated by either of two monopolists.

It is about Russia expanding military basis along their borders to the US and Canada.

And it is about greed. Think CIA and the US fruit company's profits in South America back in the days. 2/2

If you look at the Democrats policies after they take over from Republicans you'll find that many inhumane policies stay in place despite Democrats running with the opposite. This is not necessarily unique to opposition parties to the center-right wing in the US. European parties act similarly.
Trump is serious about annexing Canada and Greenland; at some point senile Trump told the world that this comes from strategic military papers. It's about the melting Arctic and its resources. 1

    Yes and no.
There is sufficient evidence that people can be persuaded with propaganda despite the fact that their core didn't start out racist, or misogynist. It was kind of blank, a non issue until their info sources start to rewire the brain. It is a minority that automatically and constantly question everything and take the time to fact check three ways.

And there os a way back out:

This alone should generate a massive anti-Republican campaign.

Mass deportation spells crimes against humanity.

It doesn't acknowledge that the vast majority of migrants are us just moving from one place to another, find work and live a life of a good neighbor, who works for living and raises a family.

Not exactly. Crimes are still crimes.

And since the POTUS' core function is faithfully uphold the law, anything outside of that could be viewed as outside of his core function and a private engagement provided the DOJ is willing to play hardball on this and even threaten SCOTUS with charges after the fact if they don't come to their senses.

Sometimes it is important to say the unlikely out loud and often.

For 248 years, the norm was, the president is not above the law. When the Republicans unjustly covered for Trump the 2nd time, they argued that he can be prosecuted, and it is in the records of Congress and Senate.

SCOTUS' opinion is radical and not based in the Constitution.

It is time to push back and speak about SCOTUS' lack of immunity for their obstruction of justice.

On an emotional level many surely share the sentiment.
But you can't defeat autocracy with autocracy.

It is better follow through with Prof Tribe's and Judge Luttig's initiative within the confines of law and democratic boundaries. And a grassroot movement pushing for amendments fixing what's wrong starts with demos and actual signatures on paper delivered.

That's the point. Every f-ing ruling of the Supreme Court has damaged US democracy further and further and just gave Trump the magic wand for his dictatorship but keeping the door open to prosecute Biden, should he opt for any radical solution.

How bad was President Reagan in 2min?
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXrXtW89c9A

However, it wasn't just all Reagan. It was human nature of people who like to take advantage. Women entering the workforce en masse, married with kids, also reduced the pressure to provide a living wage for the single provider of the family. Why not take advantage of the double income situation and not keep up with inflation as they used to?
