Somerville, Massachusetts, home to Tufts University, has made history as the first U.S. municipality to pass a ballot measure urging divestment from Israel.
Over 55% of voters supported Question 3, which calls on the mayor to end all business with companies sustaining Israel’s genocide. The city has contracts with Hewlett-Packard and Lockheed Martin worth over $2 million.
