@codewiz "terrible" is putting it nicely. This thing is the worst design choice of the A3000.
Need to test your RAM? Or the jumper config? or anything? yeah, need to unscrew everything and then somehow precariously balance the power supply with its slightly too short cable. Not to mention the abysmal airflow (although upgrading to a 060 solved that for me)
@jzillw oh, same here. but I also experienced scrum where we made it work. Although it wasn't your typical waterfall game-dev scrum with 30+ people teams (that's scrum in name only). key is that you have leaders who can make scrum work for you. sprints can and should be longer if it helps the team
@jzillw bring it up in a retro where you should discuss if processes, including scrum events, are helpful and, if not, how they can be improved to actually be helpful. maybe the sprint is really too short. or there are too many items in it. or scoping/estimation could be improved. ideally teams should discuss this regularly
@sinbad I haven't found a clipper either that I like (at least one as good as Evernote's) so my solution is copy & paste together with the "Local Images Plus" plugin. Which works surprisingly well though
@sinbad should be fine. I have a similar cooler and it makes no real difference. The heat sink does 95% of the work. The fan is useful to get rid of heat build-ups when the CPU does some heavy lifting. For idle, fans can even be off with most modern CPUs if there's a decent heat sink on it. And if the worst happens? Your motherboard will beep and then shut down to protect your CPU... but for that to happen you probably have to remove the entire heat sink ๐
@sinbad Go was a nice language (haven't used it since 2020-ish) but the whole modules system was a confusing clusterfuck. Whenever you thought you "got it" you could be sure that next time it would complain about something being wrong with Gopath or that alternative system they used for managing modules
@sinbad I'm super conflicted here. Getting ARM laptops out there is a good idea. But doing this with MS's hamfisted AI approach and as locked down platform is entirely the wrong way to go about it
@bojacobs a common trait of most populists and autocrats seems to be that they have a hard time laughing about themselves, even in the most harmless circumstances
@FlashMobOfOne@IanDSmith Photography students... me, modeling and rendering my reel like crazy for the final project ...and then those guys: "I took some picture in the first week. The other 5 weeks I ain't gonna do sh*t"
