Just rolled over in my sleep and woke up when my right (bad) hip popped. The tension and pain in my hip are gone. What did I do and will it last?

I know you all think Gertie is the cutest puppy ever, but you've got to understand that 4.8 pounds of dog launching herself on your face at 5:30 am on a weekend because the sun is out and therefore she must be played with is not cute. It's adorable.

Does anyone have a reputable source in English for how to treat a hard lump caused by a vaccine? 🚑

I had my RSV vaccine last Wednesday, and I still have a hard lump in my arm from it. My doctor isn't concerned about it and said to "treat it at home." I asked her what she meant by treat it, but she hasn't responded (this is via email). I figure this might be faster. I did my own search but haven't found any reputable sources yet.

Now with Google search shitting the bed, here's how to add DuckDuckGo NoAI as your default search engine in the Firefox toolbar. I'm leaving directions here because I just did it and I'm not techy so it took me a few minutes to puzzle it out.

In Firefox, from the 3 bars on the left, go to settings. Click Search. Scroll down the page and click on the "Add" button under the box of choices.

A box will popup. For the search engine name I put "DDG no AI" but you can put whatever you want, just so you know what it is. For the URL put
https://noai.duckduckgo.com/%s
Click "Save Engine" and the popup will close.

Scroll to the top. From the drop-down menu under "Default search engine" select "DDG no AI" or whatever you named it. Done!

We still don't have cable TV or Internet at home so we went yesterday to get a digital TV antenna and now have more channels than we have with cable. So we'll be cancelling the cable tomorrow. 📺

@RamenCatholic hot tip that worked for me this week: put up a poll here to say "they want me to do it" for self care. I kinda wanted to get a latte but couldn't justify the time off, a whole 20 minutes, to go get one. So I put it to a poll and the fedi overwhelmingly told me to do it, so I did. Obviously this might not help everyone, but it works for me.

When Tom Brady became a commentator, he referred to the "red zone" as the "red area." It wasn't a one off thing either. We were watching the noon today and damn if a commentator didn't refer to it as "red area!" WTF!?!? It's spreading! Red area sounds like a freaking infection, not a zone on a football field.
