    @moth_ball I betcha it's going to be called "The Elder Scrolls VI: Tamriel." This is why they've waited to confirm the name/setting so long, they're gonna sell it on the premise of exploring every province when in reality it's just Starfield again where there's just a handful of handcrafted environments and the rest is a combination of copypasta and procedural generation.
    And it's gonna suck. Bad.
    I can't wait for the salt.

    @Humpleupagus I'm one of those people who likes playing games on original hardware whenever I can; provided said hardware is functional, available domestically in the US, and not exorbitantly overpriced.
    But it is nice to know that's an option if I don't get to it before that point.

    Just finished Metroid Prime 1 for the first time (Wii version).
    I first played this game on the Gamecube when I was about 13. I could never get past the Omega Pirate.
    Good game. I think it's admirable that despite the change to a first person shooter presentation it's still very unmistakably a Metroid game.
    Finishing a game you couldn't finish as a kid is a very uniquely fulfilling experience, I don't have that many left at this point, so it's becoming an increasingly rare one for me...

    @xianc78 That's fair, the whole "Sonic vs. Mario," conversation was already well past its stage of relevancy by the time 2007 rolled around, Sonic games had already been multiplatform for a long time at that point.
    Hell, I'm going to be 30 in two months and I'm barely old enough to remember the Sega/Nintendo rivalry.
    It was mostly for the Gen Xers who grew up in the 80's that the novelty worked for. Console wars in general just weren't really much of a thing past gen 6, so I can't really see the appeal in a modern context.

    @sun Don't remember if I've told this story on here or not, but in high school I told this guy I had a crush on that I could calculate water line (I cannot now, and I definitely couldn't then) so I could sound smart, and then he actually pulled me into this project for making small 1-2 passenger-size boats float for his pre-engineering class.
    I just made something up about where it was based on some equation I scribbled down that was complete gibberish, and got lucky when it turned out to be pretty close to right; I don't think they ever figured it out.
    Moral of the story: roll your bluff, you got this. :izumithumbsup:

    Finished Silent Hill 4 for the first time.
    Good game. Not as good as the first three, gameplay is pretty atrocious for the most part, but the story, atmosphere, aesthetic, and overall unique feel to the game design make up for it in spades.

    @dommymommy I've actually experienced the exact opposite situation in my dating life, more than once actually, where I was dumped due to being *too* stable for them; but my dating life is kind of an oddity, and I don't think I've ever dated a woman who wasn't bi, so I might be an outlier. :shrug_yui:
