There are some strange creatures meeting at #FediDay . This one claims that "alternative networks need stupid selfies too". He wasn't taking selfies so I took a photo.

@colin Well, the region of the petition is the European Union. It's directed to "Members of the European Parliament, national governments, and political party leaders across Europe". All the signatories so far are from European countries except for 9 from Brazil. So, I guess it's not a formal requirment, but yes, it's a European thing for Europeans. Why not do the same for Asians or Africans?

Yes, good for political warfare and little else.

Therefore we have to spread the message why it is important to leave X, this breeding ground for hatred, disinformation, polarisation and radicalisation.

And the happy message that there are alternatives. Like the fediverse.
