    @allison @ezio i know people that ran their 2500k/2600k/2700k until like 2018 before they swapped. Some of them overclocked to 5.2+ Ghz on fucking air cooling

    also reminds me of a vid i saw recently about that really odd device that lets you backup your DOS stuff to a VHS tape, i wonder if anyone actually used that

    @hj @sun you can use jellyfin to serve media and metadata to kodi, with the benefit that you can use it on other devices too. I have this setup and its rather neat. With HDMI-CEC you can use your TV' built in remote in some cases too.

    @sun yeah, the system itself if you are going to buy the games is one of the most expensive ones. There is a MVS build you can do since the AES is even more expensive that lands you below 350~400€ for a working system with a flash cart, but you'd have to be a real fan to front that money for one anyways.

    Oh also, I was VERY close during the con to buy a CPS2 with Street Fighter Alpha 3.

    Kiiiinda regret it, but at the same time if I would get an arcade board it would probably be a Neo Geo MVS.

    @sun @graf I bought the 5X because it also doesn't drop it when switching. I actually bought it specifically for that and because it was the best scaler to handle 480i at the time. (PS1 and PS2 is the main usage).

    @sun @graf I have a R5X and its really good for its intended purpose, but for retro computers its rather lacking. It does look amazing on my LG C1 so can't complain other than that.
