Oh also, I was VERY close during the con to buy a CPS2 with Street Fighter Alpha 3.
Kiiiinda regret it, but at the same time if I would get an arcade board it would probably be a Neo Geo MVS.

@xian I was watching a video about Neo Geo the other day and they were talking about how emulators made playing the games cheap and easy. And I was just like, NeoRAGE emulator came out in 1997 lol

@xian I wish I would have bought a consolized MVS ten years ago with Samurai Shodown IV. Prices have gone insane :insane_eagle:

@sun yeah, the system itself if you are going to buy the games is one of the most expensive ones. There is a MVS build you can do since the AES is even more expensive that lands you below 350~400€ for a working system with a flash cart, but you'd have to be a real fan to front that money for one anyways.

@sun yeah, iirc even the flash cart for the thing is rather pricey. It lives up to it's "way to expansive to own" legacy

@xian semi-related but there needs to be a comprehensive book on the history of SNK, with interviews.

@sun oh, I would really love that. The arcade legacy they left behind is really something!

@xian I remember a comment one time I saw that talked about "SNK-USA was completely mismanaged by the Barone family" clearly an insider comment but I was never able to find out more information. Something I wish I would have done when I was a teenager was wrangle my way into visiting SNK-USA.
