@BrianJopek @AlgoCompSynth Governor DeWine is having to deal with the Ohio Attorney General, Dave Yost, independently **supporting** the conspiracy theorists. They’re elected independently of each other in Ohio so the Governor has fewer tools than we’d like without the AG’s support.

@lnxw37a2 Hesperia is below what NWS is considering a “zone”. For them the lowest level of resolution is “Apple and Lucerne Valleys” which looks like a pretty big reporting area. The FIPS code for Hesperia appears to be 0633434 if you’re wanting to use the API produced by NWS.

@evan The answer from the Ohio perspective is no, these threatened lawsuits are simply meritless threats. The Ohio Secretary of State was threatening to leave Joe Biden off the ballot earlier this year due to the lateness of the Democratic National Convention up against Ohio’s nominating deadline. The outcomes of the primaries here in Ohio didn’t matter then and don’t matter now. Even our ballot says you’re electing pledged convention delegates rather than a candidate.

@evan @jessamyn "I would really hate if something I posted in my personal time on my personal feeds became a work issue." Umm...we actually had that happen at the college. It became a mess. That's a big reason as to why I'm not allowed to acknowledge directly online in the open where I work.

Trying to figure out how to fit @evan into my “Computer Applications and Concepts” syllabus and course content more than just the couple of times he already gets a namecheck.

@evan RFC 9309 and linked documents propose definitions that generally would not include ActivityPub software unless there is an AP-enabled spidering package.
