I didn't think the Google glass would catch on, but I always thought that it was a better form-factor effort than anything else that came after it.
Full immersion is cool for a game (interactive movies) but not practical as a heavy use device. Phones are almost perfect as they aren't very obtrusive. And don't cloud out reality.

I never really needed (or maybe didn't remember)to understand that when I got my first CD ROM drive. Maybe my dad did, or we had a pre-built thing that just worked.
Similar to watching old movies and their CGI. When they first came out, the visuals were stunning and then when you go and watch it again you realize the smoke looks like crap, or the water, or the fire, or the skin, or the fabric, or whatever.
In 10 years we will have experienced these LLMs and we will be able to easily see them for the cheap, shallow, imatations of thought.
