@nyanide@lab.nyanide.com I don't think it would evolve and it would go anywhere, not with the current models anyway, and I don't think they will make better more aware models anytime soon, also I don't believe consciousness will emerge, maybe simulations of it, but not real consciousness.

The way models are now look like parrots repeating things, in other words the maximum level of simulation that they have right now is one of a parrot. I don't think it would change soon because it wouldn't make sense commercially, corporations are pushing for this shit just because they know they can make money with it, and because they are compromised they have already invested too much, and its a sweetspot for them, pretend its a revolution and that it changes everything while putting very little effort while getting a lot of money.
