And we tend to use more Spanish decks rather than English/poker decks.

And I have never seen anyone relating the word joto which is a medium insult to a hard one and the joker or J card in decks.

I don't know which is the origin of the word, seems like a good question, but I think it's unrelated to any deck or card lol.
