@dansup Are you sure? The way this has played out on bluesky has been unconvincing. Sure, it made it easier to find folks for some, but it's contributed to a mainstreaming of ideas and feeds that got in the way of having networks grow more organically.

I know people have been super excited about this and the block lists, I am not convinced they are good things in the long run.

The confusing thing about #pixelfed for me is that the shots where I am unsure whether to even post them tend to get a lot more attention than the shots I personally really like. There is no accounting for taste, I guess.

Is there a pixelfed only feed? The federated feed is great but also brings a lot of screenshots etc. The public server feed is great too, but limited. I'd love to be able to browse the pixelfederation in one feed too. Because it is a different experience and one I want more of.

@mekkaokereke I went to the US as an exchange student. No one even told me how it works, didn't have money on me on the first day. I was super weirded out by having to pay for lunch. And then the options, fries or pizza basically. Food that kids here get at a party maybe but certainly not every day. Ended up bringing my own just because I did not have the stomach for it. And then all the sugary soft drinks! It's 25 years ago, but I'm still not over it.

@Gargron @atomicpoet @Tinu I've seen another post today that didn't have a CW but apparently CW on the pic. By a new poster, different context. Maybe there is a bug? Or some issue with UI somewhere that is messing things up for people?

@Gargron How are moderators trained to do this work? What is the diversity of the moderation team like? If it is mostly white, please hire more BIPOC people onto the team.
