@SuperDicq @aetios ๐คทโ๏ธ Fair! I don't know either way, having never needed to replace mine ๐
Expensive way to learn tho.

@SuperDicq @aetios Maybe, but I don't think that's true of a roadster like the MX-5 ๐
I'm told (no personal experience) it's possible to go through a clutch in one track day, just because you're pushing the car to its limits.
@SuperDicq @aetios No, I mean it's silly that the car is designed in such a way that the official way to change the clutch is engine out :)
Eh, I don't think that's the issue. It's very difficult to remove and realign the gearbox in situ (which is why it's not recommended)
It has to go in on its side and be twisted in the tunnel at the last minute. There's zero clearance.
It's also difficult to remove in the first place, particularly the starter motor housing.
@SuperDicq @aetios Yup. The person who's car I did this on said Mazda take the engine out to do it, which is silly - especially for a RWD sports car.
@SuperDicq @aetios Not on the newer generation ones. Iirc even Mazda quote a day to do it
@SuperDicq @aetios And then 15 hours to change the clutch later on ๐ญ
@SuperDicq @aetios This is an absolute PITA to do outside of the factory, of course. I speak from personal experience.
@mametsuko Hey Mame! I remember you got a new phone recently, and mine has started to have battery issues ๐ญ
So I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the one you got? And any links to ones you considered ๐
@mametsuko thank you :neocat_heart:
@domi The Google Markup editor on Pixel phones had a similar issue.
Although I think that was slightly different as it wasn't related to opacity, but data being left after the 'EOF' in an edited PNG.
@ryanc > Anyone want to buy my Ubiquiti US-16-XG?
How much are you asking for it? ๐
@ryanc Some screws with big washers in each corner?
Or contact adhesive
My server being on a terrible uplink and taking ages to deliver content is a feature, not a bug :neocat_scream_angry:
In this day and age, all these pesky kids are too used to instant gratification over insanely fast connections.
I'm taking a stand against this, and delivering a mid-2000s fedi experience - the way it should be!
Patience is a virtue and delayed gratification is good for you! :blobangrypuff:
@doskel The copper twisted pair adds flavour to the posts; just don't get that at the speed of light
๐ฎ๐ช Ireland Roadtrip
I have some time off, so I'm going on a short trip around the West Coast of Ireland. I've never been before!
I'll post some photos as I make my way around, and if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them!
Obviously, the starting location for a roadtrip is...up a mountain in Wales ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ
First stop: a cave, with @linus :neocat_notice:
@eloy @famfo Maybe we should switch allegiance and use... Solaris :neocat_googly_shocked:
@mametsuko & @aetios caught an octopus!
@ryanc Good? Fare evasion costs the industry (ie. government thus taxpayers) millions.
Messes around with big k8s clusters running on someone else's computer my views, he/him, :rainblob:@hugh_alt for spicy takes@crablab.uk for my Bsky presence bridged
