@FlashMobOfOne I found most of the stuff I play did work but I ended up installing windows when I changed pcs.

I might try going back to Linux or setup a dual boot but as that machine is pretty much used for games and nothing else I’m not sure I can be bothered.

@FlashMobOfOne proton might work for the game depending on what it is.

Some games you’d still need windows for though especially online ones with anticheat crap running (I dislike anti cheat because of the way it works)

@nicemicro @neil quite a lot of windows games work under proton now thanks to the amazing work of various devs at making that a thing.

Ofc that doesn’t make the games themselves open source /free but it does mean you can run Linux and still play games if you want

@bloor @neil They seem to make justifying piracy even easier, all because they got greedy and wanted their own services and then to constantly hike the price and reduce the content quality/availablity.

Not sure who's phrase it is but "The Enshitification of everything" seems to be apt.
