@FlashMobOfOne I found most of the stuff I play did work but I ended up installing windows when I changed pcs.

I might try going back to Linux or setup a dual boot but as that machine is pretty much used for games and nothing else I’m not sure I can be bothered.

@FlashMobOfOne I literally only use Windows these days to... make screenshots of the steps to do programming stuff for my classes, for my Windows users. :)

@FlashMobOfOne A lot people who are stuck with Windows (and wanting to get away from expensive Apple dependency) would agree with you but "difficult" is a variable depending upon whom you ask.

Linux is a rainbow of flavours and most Corporate Operating System users (like me) simply don't know where to start.

@FlashMobOfOne Installing Linux has got *lots* easier over the decades - it mostly no longer starts by asking you lots of questions in which you don't even know what most of the words mean.

On a bad day, though, it'll still scroll reams of frightening-looking error messages past you on the screen too fast to read, depending on which of the 487,201 different flavours of installer you're using, of which you probably have to really worry about exactly none.

@FlashMobOfOne Plus, I think you can even set your screen resolution to match your monitor these days without having to edit config files as root like you used to!

@FlashMobOfOne proton might work for the game depending on what it is.

Some games you’d still need windows for though especially online ones with anticheat crap running (I dislike anti cheat because of the way it works)
