@ai6yr I have a personal story to tell here. ICE didn’t have my trust EVER. On August 12, 2020 I participated in a protest in Bend Oregon that grew from small to large, blocking an ICE bus that was kidnapping local residents. ICE ended up tear-gassing the protest that night.

It started about a block from where I lived. I was there early but the crowd grew to quite some size for a smallish town.

2020, folks. This is not new.

@jeridansky Just a heads up from little old me. We’re in rural area with lousy infrastructure. We are expecting to lose both electricity and internet (and thus phone service, because our cell phones require wifi here). If this cascade happens, as it did after Helene, we won’t be able to update anyone. We are personally very well prepared for this situation, so no news from me doesn’t mean anything bad. I suspect there will be many others in this situation… #NCWX
