@ryanhoulihan I tried a home IPL device as well without any noticeable change despite using it for about twice as long as was supposedly needed to get results.

I'm not sure if I was using it wrong, if it was an ineffective device, or if my body hair is just too light in color for it to work. Wish there were better options available :(

@pluralistic In retrospect, it was a glorious period of time when essentially all chat protocols were reversed engineered and usable in third party clients. From roughly 2003-2013 I was able to contact basically everyone I knew with a single program (Trillian, then GAIM/Pidgin) no matter if they used AIM, MSN, or Google Chat.

Now I have a half dozen messenger apps on my phone, and that's not even all of them. I hope reverse engineering and EU interop brings back the glory days of Pidgin.

@thomasfuchs @clive My grandparents took a ~30 ft trailer all across the US with their malaise era Chrysler Newport (a big sedan). Today's trucks are just ridiculously oversized and overpowered particularly since most non-work trucks are just used to commute to the office.
