But that's merely a public excuse. Of course Russia knew NATO would say "no". They just wanted to play that game.
If you allow me one more example: at the end of the "negotiations", Russia request for Nato to guarantee the safety of Russia, but the US declined. Negotiations over, 2 months later invasion.
That's one of these games again. Of course the US isn't going to say "yes". It would imply freedom of "movement" for Russia in the Ukraine. No can do.
@Senator_Armstrong@dicey@11112011@Grandtheftautism@icedquinn@p The "muh nazis" obsession of the past few years in Russia was a ploy. Notice that at the same time the US was training Ukraine "nazis" (with Jewish leadership, but that aside). And just when the pandemic was more or less "over" in the summer, Russia invades Ukraine to defend against the "nazis" who were sent back by the US to terrorize Donbass.
@p Absolutely. I'm kinda in a rational mode today lol, I wouldn't deny anyone dreams. Besides, if the captains are absent, nuking their lieutenants is a pleasing score too.
@p I bet a group of overlords will stay at a distance. Generals do not travel with troops usually and certainly two operational generals won't on the same plane.
Observing the US implementation of the constitution, it appears they go by the Natural Law Theory - I remember something like that vaguely. I could be wrong.
So making decisions and acting in spiritual and physical realms is a part of human nature. That doesn't conflict with having political power.
@wgiwf@Victor_Emmanuel@mkultra You introduce religion and historical context and I won't deny that, nor was I planning to do so.
However, possessing both physical and spiritual agency doesn't preclude one from politics. That's the point I tried to explore.
Right now the "Natural Slave" vs "Natural Law" is put forward - a comparison I didn't intend to happen. My original comment might have been misunderstood in that respect.
