@jacklaridian it looks like typical manufactured A24 cinema. Right down to the scene of someone holding a phone in first person point of view while shooting a gun at someone - taken directly from the exact incident in Roanoke, VA shooting of newscasters live on TV in exactly (precisely) the same manner. Dude broadcast it on Facebook from exactly the same angle. Just straight up recreating that for the drama of it all.

@dansup @pixelfed please add DM management to Pixelfed. Right now folks can’t delete threads or DMs from other folks. If someone sends an inappropriate message or harassing photo it cannot be deleted.

@dansup @pixelfed someone could easily write a bot to start sending inappropriate photos and messages to everyone posting in the local feed and they have zero recourse to remove those messages from their account. People do care about this.

@dansup no one hates you man. If you want to truly make an impact with network effect you need to *breaths in* ship an app in to the AppStore’s so everyone can use your app centric services that compete with deeply entrenched apps like Instagram and TikTok. Without accessible apps (not in TestFlight) all this press coverage just confuses people.

It's kind of hard to get any normies to adopt and create network effects onto PF/Loops without accessible apps in real app stores. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@sundogplanets there is an NRO spy satellite called Lacrosse that has a “disappearing” trick that it uses to avoid detection presumably for re-tasking and changes in orbit or something. This is probably why they’re concerned about it. We can assume these techniques (and maybe newer techniques in development) are not always public.
