@dansup@pixelfed please add DM management to Pixelfed. Right now folks can’t delete threads or DMs from other folks. If someone sends an inappropriate message or harassing photo it cannot be deleted.
@dansup@pixelfed someone could easily write a bot to start sending inappropriate photos and messages to everyone posting in the local feed and they have zero recourse to remove those messages from their account. People do care about this.
@w7voa oh! Let’s just put his “straight-arm gesture” side by side with some interesting folks as reference. Let me know what you think 🤔 weird right? Seems to be exactly the same…
@dansup no one hates you man. If you want to truly make an impact with network effect you need to *breaths in* ship an app in to the AppStore’s so everyone can use your app centric services that compete with deeply entrenched apps like Instagram and TikTok. Without accessible apps (not in TestFlight) all this press coverage just confuses people.
@sundogplanets there is an NRO spy satellite called Lacrosse that has a “disappearing” trick that it uses to avoid detection presumably for re-tasking and changes in orbit or something. This is probably why they’re concerned about it. We can assume these techniques (and maybe newer techniques in development) are not always public. The fact they are even concerned lets us infer they probably know more about this than than they let on. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lacrosse_(satellite)?wprov=sfti1
@dansup@pixelfed anyone can read my previous toots asking when the product would ship and see I’ve been asking very nicely over weeks. I’ve not said anything controversial. You’ve blocked me for absolutely no reason. So much for fedi love.
@atomicpoet every popular post from threads I’ve seen ultimately has had some branded corporate threads account replying “haha me too! download Calm App”
Threads is shitting all over my mastodon timeline.
I’m all for the advocacy of AP but indirect advertisements wasn’t on my bingo card *sigh*
@vernissage do you plan to implement push notifications for likes / comments etc? It seems to be the number 1 hurdle for trying to get people to use PixelFed and without the occasional notifications people tend to lose interest fast :/
