@stefano@mastodon.bsd.cafe I thought about doing this for a while, but wasn't sure about how practical it'd be. I guess trying it out is the best way to know.
Breaking news: Extreme-centrist sees extremists everywhere.
Don't get me wrong, there are many on the Right, pretty much all that's left over there, but on the left? I think they had 1% of the vote in the European election.
"Post-Covid" "overcrowds" Sounds like "pre-Covid" to me.
Every single time since 2021, Golden Week was followed by a Covid wave. And seeing how mask-wearing is at an all-time low in #Japan I'll be wearing mine even more carefully in the next few weeks.
Just got my yearly very official e-mail from the university (and by extension from the ministry of education) that I'm allowed to wear short sleeves from May 1st (until October 31st.)
Sometimes I hear people wonder how Soviet citizens could believe the constant lies in the Pravda back in the days...
Then, I read the Western press and most have become a series of constant gaslighting about pretty much everything right now, you name it (Israel's genocide, the climate collapse, late-stage capitalism, Covid erasure).
The sad part is that most Westerners believe those sacks of lies, whereas Soviet citizens all knew the Pravda was just BS.
After 27 years on the internet and 20 on social media, l can say that I think I'm finally starting to grasp the whole "talking to strangers on the internet" thing. Two people, in two separate occasions, on two different platforms made well-meaning but totally stupid comments in the past two days and... I said nothing. I didn't point out the inanity of their comment nor how it was beside the point. Not gonna lie, I'm proud of myself. (It still rattles me that they will never know how stupid that was, but baby steps, I guess)
@BeAware@social.beaware.live I hope it's just step one and that "normal" federation is coming. Right now there is almost no incentive for people to turn it on, especially if they don't really know what it is. They won't know who follow them and they can't really interact with other accounts. And no possible discover ability.
Frenchman speaking English in #Japan (and both #French and English on the Fediverse). - Doesn't read nearly enough these days.- Writes things. Tries to be better at it, both quantitatively and qualitatively.- #Teacher- Hopes the world doesn't end soon.- Father of two little angels that drive me nuts.- Monster in the classic Dr. Who.- Bollywood action movie anti-hero.- Wastes too much time on social media.
