@kaia this reminds me of the behavior of my weird hacked together Nixie clock that uses a long cascade of 7490 counters, when you first plug it in, it will come up with some strange invalid mess until you rapid-advance it. It's a limitation of the way the reset to 0 and gates are wired back to the outputs; it will trigger a reset when the 10 minutes digit tries to count to 6, for instance, but it can wind up in some other impossible states without tripping it

@kaia What is that style of pin lock called? I've had a couple of knives over the years that have had that, and it's my favorite mechanism for a folder - it holds the blade in place very solidly with very little friction.

@synx508 Reminds me a little of the way the iris/paint controls work on our Sony camera remotes at work - if it's in relative mode (and it usually is), the absolute position of each control is ignored when you push panel enable, but further movement of it affects the control. It's all good until you go to try to, say, iris down and the iris joystick is too close to or sitting on one of the end stops, you have to turn off panel enable, move it, and turn it on again.

The R/G/B level and black level pots, master black (ring around the iris lever) and the iris lever itself are all like that, they all have endstops.

The little wheels under the LCD are 360 degree rotary encoders though.

Do you have to crab-walk down that miniscule aisle on either side of the top level? I just plain wouldn't want to go up there at all, there's no way in hell it's easy to get out in an emergency

@piggo @april @Jessica I had a 400 back in Florida that pretty much lived with an inverter attached to the side. Whenever the power was out we'd just hook it up to one of the cars to run it

I tried to do raccoon stripes on one section but I guess the colors I used were not really dissimilar enough to make it pop, so I got this and I love it
