@Josh412 🚨this is not a drill! Josh said Pods!

One of the things that makes all of the WP stuff harder for me personally is that I’ve given many thousands of hours of time into @pods and donated* over $100k personally to help get it to where it’s at today. To see the “state of the word” as it is today really stings deeply. I put all my eggs into this basket 🫠

*covering costs of extra devs, support, docs, and other things sponsors+donors alone couldn’t cover (my own time isn’t included in that $)

@chris How many people will leave the WP space entirely? Maybe even leaving tech?

@alda @chris @ramsey I know someone you can reach out to about this if your company says you can’t work on core stuff. They will cover your salary if you get in trouble for talking to them. /s

@ramsey @chris when you get a WP core committer to become involved, you have a real solid fork IMO.

@chris haven’t seen any reliability issues but I’m on macOS

@chris @ramsey @anildash yeah I’m staying with 1P because of all the features I enjoy and the knowledge it’s separate from the Apple but integrated easily everywhere.

@chris how was it for you? Worth paying for four tickets to brings the kids along too or just two for Cassidy and I to check it out?

@chris thought about this, wasn’t sure if it’d be as bad as the beetlejuice musical. It was interesting but the music fell flat for me.

@jerclarke @chris I use Fantastical but my work cut off access to connect to it with MS 365 so I had to share the calendar to my personal MS account and it’s been delayed seeing new events. Even manual refreshes don’t work, I think it’s a MS limitation on how often the shared calendar syncs or something.

@Jeffro I wonder about this too, there’s a lot of bleak future realizations for me. If I think about it too long or too much, depression takes over. I’m trying to keep it all together!
