@ChrisMayLA6 @bookstodon Got a bit of a dual-edged sword to the conservatives, libraries are places offering services for free to everyone which is a public good which we cannot have unless someone gets to wet their beak. Also, there's the threat of knowledge, a learned populace is one that doesn't vote conservative.

@luckytran It's a one-two combo there, we'll prevent you from keep yourself and others safe by banning masks because we want to make sure the police state we're building can identify you publicly at all times. Why? Simple, we value property and objects more than people, people are a thing we need to protect the property from because they have a habit of protesting when we're trying to restrict them so no masks, no protections of any kind.

@EveHasWords Huh, I've only ever heard it from those affected by the Fedi HOA, not those doing the HOA stuff. Yknow, like a HOA targeting the POC family for petty violations of the bylaws to force them out because they're "not of the community" or whatever.

@josh The notion that as long as you have vaccines then you're fine seems to be a big problem as repeated infections are taking severe tolls on some. Might need more education for the general public on this though I doubt anyone really wants to given even mentioning the last four years feels like a social taboo.

@ariadne Minority-owned businesses should always have a somewhat handsome tall white man with a head of hair on retainer for investor meetings.

@rysiek Expect many an "acceptable losses", "computer error", and "collateral damage" excuse once the first few extrajudicial killings occur.

@echanda @inthehands Much of the actual property damage was caused by plain clothes police so very likely.
