@PeterCxy@comfy.social while you might agree (and there's definitely reason to), breaking backwards compatibility and removing something people use would also not sit well with many (including me). I just feel Misskey-dev making decisions like that without asking the community isn't a good way to handle things.

@atomicpoet@mastodon.social I mostly agree, but converting a website to a native app with something like Capacitor versus a PWA does have its benefits -- using the system webview instead of a wrapped browser usually uses way less battery and gives a bit more performance.

@PeterCxy@comfy.social I don't even think it's an issue of needing it, it's moreso that Syuilo gives features that people use -- even if not for its intended purpose -- and takes them away without warning or polling the community. It's happened to games, rooms, scripts in pages, groups, and now katex. I'm sensing a pattern...
